Is a foot hammock really that comfortable? 🤔 Today I’m looking at the airplane footrest and sharing my travel tips for how to make economy class flights more comfortable. It can be a great travel comfort item, but might not be one of the travel essentials you need, depending on your height and the airplane!
Ever seen those airplane foot hammocks all over TikTok and Amazon? ✈️🛍️ I tried one—and absolutely hated it.
Here’s the truth: In economy class, you only get about 31–32 inches of legroom. That means the seat in front of you blocks your legs from extending, so all the hammock does is let your feet dangle. Not exactly comfortable. 😅
Instead, here’s the real hack: Use a backpack, cooler, or soft bag under the seat. It props your feet up, lets you stretch out, and makes a long flight way more bearable. I’ve been a flight attendant for years, and trust me—this works every time.
